Welcome to the Eleventh
day of Christmas!
For today I made
a… candy cane hugger? Idk what these are called but it is a way to dress up a
candy cane to hang on your tree or give to kids, well adults would like them
too. If I was giving these to kids I would
prolly just stamp a face to make it easier to mass produce.
To make this guy
I used the “Christmas Wreath Monkey” from Kadoodle Bug Designs
I did not use
the base in the file, or the wreath. I pieced the legs, ears, head, and hat
together how I wanted and then welded them together in my Silhouette Software.
I did not weld the arms to this. I then cut the arms the “new base” and the
pieces out. after putting the body together I had to attach the arms, they are
folded about 1/8 -1/4” to attach to the back of the piece. I used a glue dot to
hold the candy cane to the monkey’s belly, then used mini glue dots or you can
cut your glue dots to attach the hands to the candy cane.
I actually really like these and think these could
be a lot of fun to hang around the tree to make a game for kids. I don’t have
kids and my almost 8 month old puppy thinks they look tasty paper in all…
Head on over to the Kadoodle Bug Designs fan page and like and
comment on this photo for a chance to win a pattern of your choice.
As far as the give away here leave a comment every
day for the 12 days of Christmas with a number 1-12
The prizes include twine bundles, a stamp
set, ink pads, paper pads, 5 cricut lite cartridges they have been packaged up
inside brown paper bags with numbers (1-12) stapled to the top. I have no idea
what is in each bag. If you are the winner for that particular day the number
you comment will be which bag you win. I hope that makes sense.
(the give away will remain open until December 26th
2014 this gives a few days to get caught up) winners will be announced on
Monday December 29th 2014
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you come back tomorrow for another chance
at winning and more projects.
