Scraps To Treasures Valentine Blog Hop

Well I was going to say “welcome to the Scraps to Treasures Valentine blog hop, I’m your host…” but saying that in my head made me feel like a cheesy game show host from the 70’s.
So any who, today I’m the host for our monthly blog hop from Scraps to treasures. What’s that you ask? Well were suppose to use just scraps or mostly scraps to create our projects. Admit it you have a box of scrap paper you don’t know what to do with, well here’s how.
This month's theme was Valentine Treats and our crafters were put to task in creating something that used only scraps but was also Valentine Treat related.

Ok I’ll shut up, now lets get to hopping.

For today I actually used some red Christmas paper, and little cello bags I think they’re approx. 3” by 4”
I’m going to make these for my math class, because they aren’t super kid like, and aren’t a lot of candy. I used some valentine candy corn, which actually doesn’t taste very good. Shh
The toppers are cut 3” by 5” scored in the middle.
Used some stamps from My Creative Time. Also used some white ribbon to hide the staple.
I’m not in to putting a lot of work in the bags people are just going to throw away, so cute and simple I say!

Simple easy to make a bunch.

  7. Such cute bags, wish I could still make this kind of treat for my grandkids, but we are no longer allowed to send food/candy to school, which makes it no as much fun to make the bags anymore :-(

  12. I agree. Simple, and not much too it if they are going to toss them. Still, it is nice of you to give the kids a little treat. It is a nice topper. Do you like to stamp?
