Rustic Halloween Blog Hop

Rustic Halloween

Welcome to the rustic Halloween blog. Ever Notice how glittery Halloween has gotten commercially, Not that I dont love Glitter like the next crafter out there. Way back when, when Halloween was new it was very Earthy and Rustic. So today my lovely designers and my self are taking Halloween Old school. No Glitter, No Bright colors. Halloween like how its suppose to be rustic and earthy, and maybe a little spooky. Today I will be giving away 3 bundles of your choice of colors of the Jute. So head over and pick out your colors. Youll want to make sure youre a follower of all the blogs in the hop, as well as commenting on each.
Make sure to leave contact info on your comment as well.

For my project today I used the natural and the black jute to make a broom it was fairly simple.  I wrapped the jute around my finger and just tied at the top. I got this idea from Joys life which was posted using burlap. So I couldnt resist I had to try it out with you because in my mind that looked exactly like broom fibers. I also used create a critter two for the pumpkins and the castle. I used teddy bear parade cricut lite cartridge for the bear. The bear is sized at 3 inches the pumpkins are sized at 2 ¾ and the castle is sized at 3 inches. I had to fiddle with the size of the pumpkins and the castle because they are  accessories and they didn't come out the size that I thought they were going to be at first. I used a peachy keen critter face for the bear and I use the corny faces for the pumpkins. The pattern paper comes from the lost and found Halloween stack from my minds eye and I used several patterns, some of them are the backside. Because the rules were no bright colors and the only orange I had was fairly bright same with the yellow I went around the edges with some antique linen distressing to come at age them a little bit. I really like how this turned out, it gives you like a cute little Halloween scene with some 3-D elements without being too over-the-top. The sentiment on the outside and as well as inside are some stamps that I had designed last year but decided not to go that route. Make sure you head on over to all of my designers to see what they have come up with for you today. Dont forget to come on over every Tuesday to see what we have in store for you as well.
