Welcome
everyone to “Fall in love
with Autumn” blog hop.
Featuring
a fall wreath collection:
Let me just start with how much I heart
fall {sigh}. Leave’s turning
gorgeous shades of orange, red and brown.
This something I totally miss in Oregon. The sweet aroma’s of hot cocoa
and apple cider coming out of the kitchen. Anything to do with fall fashions,
boots, sweaters and pretty scarves! Oh,
I can go on and on! Well with that being
said I have a treat for all of you today I have a group of talented ladies that
can’t wait to share
with you their fall wreath that they created for this gorgeous season. We hope to inspire you and “fall in love
with autumn”! Enjoy!
There is blog candy given away for this
hop. The grand prize is a $20.00 gift
card to Michaels or Joanns! You
choose! The rules are as follows; you
must become a follower of each blog and leave a comment on every stop. Winner will be selected on 9-17-12
If you came from Maria’s your in the
right place.
I
saw these wreaths and fell in love so I set out to find the things to make
them. I finally was able to find theme; I don’t know what you would call it. Its like
a wired mesh netting with glitter. So what you do is every 10” you gather it
and bunch it to a wire wreath form. I used floral wire to attach it.
The
mesh came from micheals and is about $10 per roll. You need about 2
My
wire form was 14” I think.
I’m linking a
video on how to do it. This is what I found online about them.
I
did mine a little different. My form had four bands around it. So I went
through and bunched the mesh to each on in a row. Then because it didn’t look full
enough I went through again and bunched 3 times on each of the outer ring
sections.
Sorry
the pictures aren’t the best it
ended up being so big that I couldn’t get far away enough with out my other
door slamming on to me. Not to mention that when I close my screen door it
looks like a big orange puff. Oh well. You can also string lights in to the
loops to make it light up.
I chose not to add anything else to it and since i have a wreath hook on my door already it worked out great. you could add spider webs and fake spiders.
the mesh comes in lots of colors. and now i know where to get it im hooked.
It
ended up costing about 25$ to make. Not to bad.
I
think I’m going to make
a white one with blue lights for winter.

I like it! I've been wanting to use wired mesh, but not sure what to do with it. I just think it's neat stuff. I definitely think adding the lights to it will make it really cool, like the winter idea one.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool. I'm really liking the mesh will def need to buy some.
