Welcome
to the Summer fun blog hop day one. You should of came from katina’s blog. If you
happened here by change make sure you head over to so many crafts to see the
whole hop. And to see the giveaways.
For
my project I made my first colored digi card.
Its
not the best but I feel like a little kid learning to color again. I used the
tim holtz distress markers, I am in love with these markers.
I
cut the image out kind of random size. It was sized at 3.9 by 2.94 and printed
out.
I
just did a google search for free digi stamps. It’s called beach bum.
I
inked around the image with vintage photo and broken china.
I’m loving
coloring with these markers.
I
used some scraps of paper for the mat. And the base is an A2 size in kraft.
I also used some brown buttons, and some of the natural Jute Twine, which is available in the My life in arts n Crafts store. (click the store tab)
I’m going to do a
small giveaway.
Comment today and tomorrow as well as be a
subscriber to win some of the My life in Arts n crafts Jute twine. If you win you will be able to pick the color
you want before it hits the store.
Make
sure you come back tomorrow.

LOL, I've BEEN that beach bum in my past so I enjoyed the image very much. I think what you'll find when using the markers is that it's not so much the markers that makes the difference, but the paper. Try experimenting with different card stocks with different finishes. For example, I wonder how the Tim Holtz markers would work on a glossy stock paper? Some papers -- even very expensive ones -- just don't blend as well and can leave streaks or "marker marks". Grrr, I hate that, especially when you've spent a good bit of money on quality markers.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new markers! It was nice chatting with you the other day, and I'm glad to see Craft Warehouse held your set for you and that you could use your coupon!! GOOD SHOPPING!!!
Happy coloring!
