Flowers Flowers Everywhere flowers Day one

Flowers, flowers, everywhere flowers...Don't you just love flowers? They bring color and beauty along with fragrance to our world and that is why this hop is celebrating them in all their glory. Hop along to see how the crafty people in our line up have used flowers in and on their projects.

Our Hostess for this hop is Lissa Marie and her site is the place to start if you've happened upon this hop by accident and want to see more pretty flowers. Otherwise I am the last stop along the hop. Now for my project :)
I love this cute little vintage meets shabby chic paper, I loved it so much I went and bought another one.
I got the burlap on a huge roll of 30 feet for $6.66, (it comes with wire in it so I just pulled it out) I found it at my local Craft Warehouse.
Its kind of like a hobby lobby, but They don’t do many coupons :(
I made the layers all the standard sizes and added the blue gingham one approximately 1/8” smaller in size, I eyeballed it.
The flower is a spell binders die it is the Spiral Blossom One, and I cut it out with the cuttle bug, also I embossed it with a cuttle bug folder to break down the paper a little.
I will do a video soon on how to make your own quilling tool. :)
I used the buttons and twine from the same My Minds Eye collection.
The stamp is from Miss Emma over at My Creative time.
It's from the my Teacher rocks stamp set.
I used broken China Distress ink for stamping.

Thank you for stopping by today. This is a two day hop with two projects to share for each person participating so please come back tomorrow to see more flowers.

  3. MMMM, that flower is beautiful!!! I like your tip to break down the paper a little with a Cuttlebug embossing. I will have to try that!! Am I guessing that this is one of the 16 flowers you made, that you mentioned during our FB chat? If so, YES, I DOOOO need them for the wreath I'm making Mom. !!

It's always so nice hopping with you! Be blessed!
