Easy Christmas Gifts n goodies Ep 3 Caramel Corn!!!!!

Are you ready for this
Post three in out homemade goodies series
Caramel Corn goody bags
The bags are from Michael’s celebrate it treat bags for 1.99
Alright now you want to fill your bags with your caramel corn
Takes approximately 4 handfuls (well four of mine I have small hands)
Now you will need toppers (for an awesome tutorial for this check out my pink stamper on your tube, she does this a lot)
My toppers measured 4.25 by 6 then scored at 3 inches
Staple to the bag (again check out my pink stamper on you tube if your confused on this)
Now decorate
For mine I used some random tags I found on once upon a princess cart and also the stock images on the imagine.
Stamp on your sentiment on to your tag
I used my Christmas wishes stamp set (which will be released next year)
Add some ribbon if you desire.
And your done
Now for my fabulous caramel corn recipe
For the traditional colored caramel corn
(found on all then tweaked it.)
So technically this is my own
1 cup of butter
½ cup corn syrup (dark or light, the dark will give your corn a darker caramel color)
2 cups of brown sugar
1 tsp of salt
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp of vanilla
1 tsp peppermint
5 quarts of HOT AIR popped popcorn
Preheat your oven to 250
In a med sauce pan put the butter and the brown sugar , corn syrup on medium heat, stirring constantly.
Bring to boil add flavorings. Boil for 4 mins with out stirring.
Add the baking soda and stir
In my popper it pops at half cup at a time I had to do three pops to get enough corn.
I put large colander under mine to shake out some of the shells
Now put in a large bowl with the caramel mix and mix it up (careful its hot)
Now pour in to a large cake pan
I used a 15 by 9 pan
Put in the oven for 15 mins
Stir make sure your getting the bottom mixed to the top
Put it back in the oven for 15 mins
And repeat till its been in the oven for 1 hour .
Now if you want to make it colored candy corn
1 cup of butter
½ cup corn syrup (use light )
2 cups of White Sugar
1 tsp of salt
½ tsp baking soda
2 tsp of peppermint.
5 quarts (three half cup pops in the hot air popper)
Red and green gel icing colors
Do exactly the same as the regular caramel corn except when you are done cooking your caramel add your color
And mix well. You will need more color then you think  to get a rich color
If you have questions I can do a video on caramel corn let me know.
